Shan-A-Punjab

I've been a little busy lately, so I'll just post up some pictures without a lot of prose. :)

These pictures are from Shan-A-Punjab, which is an Indian restaurant that opened up where the Cognac Bistro existed. These are from the lunch buffet on the weekend. (The pics are a bit old, I forgot about them!)

Restaurant: Corrib Pub, Brookline, MA

The Corrib Pub is the kind of place you'd go to all the time if you were a group of friends in a sitcom (HIMYM!). It's cozy, not too crowded, and is generally a great place to grab a quick beer or dinner. The crowd tends to be somewhat older than at other bars in the Coolidge Corner area.

Restaurant: Sichuan Garden

Sichuan Garden in Brookline Village is delicious. It's been consistently one of my favorite restaurants for spicy food.

Restaurant: Gyu-kaku, Brookline, MA

Gyu-Kaku is a Japanese BBQ chain that has locations across the US. The Brookline location opened fairly recently. In this type of restaurant, you grill meat over a table grill. The meat is sliced thin so that you can cook it fairly quickly.

Restaurant: Super Fusion, Brookline, MA

Super Fusion Cusine, I'm totally over you. Yup, that's how I'm starting this review.

Super Fusion is a chain (?) of sushi restaurants int he Boston area. There are a few of them in Watertown, Cambridge, and Brookline. This review is for the Brookline location. I have also been to the Porter Square location, but have not been there recently. It's unclear whether they all have the same owner or if they are run completely independently--they used to share a website, but recently, the websites have split.

Bakery/Cafe: Athan's Bakery

Athan's bakery is a cute spot in Washington square. It's great for coffee and dessert, if you're ever in the area. They are self described as a European bakery & chocolatier.

Restaurant: Gari Japanese Restaurant, Brookline, MA

The Gari Japanese Restaurant is one of many Sushi restaurants within about a 3 block stretch on Harvard Ave in Coolidge Corner, Brookline. It's a very small and cozy space with a nice atmosphere. The restaurant is usually rather quiet, which makes it a great spot for dates.
