The Love with Food box is a monthly subscription box that's packed with unique food offerings. I've been a subscriber for over a year, and it's definitely one of my favorite ways to discover new and exciting brands. Last month, I announced I was switching to the Gluten Free box. I accidentally lied--I actually cancelled too late to not receive the August tasting box, so I get this opportunity to review both, side by side.

The GF box so far looks awesome. There are a few repeats from previous tasting boxes (I'll note them below) but it has the same great selection of new snacks that make this box super fun! The pamphlets this month have changed and now include handy reference tags saying whether items are Gluten Free, Organic, Vegan, etc.

For every box sold, the company donates a meal to a food bank.

This month's theme is "Happy Camper". I actually switched over to the "Gluten Free" box, which launches next month--and so this is my last regular box! (I'm excited that they're introducing the GF box, though I'm a little nervous because it's quite a bit larger than the small box that I had been getting.)

 In April's Popsugar Must Have Box, I was able to sample Nature Box's "Popsugar must have mix". This mix was made with almonds, soybeans, corn, cranberries, and mini sesame-wheat cookies (random?).

The Better Chip is a spinach and kale infused corn chip that I received in my Fab Fit Fun Spring 2014 Box. These are gluten free and non-GMO.

Short Review: Gavottes - Dark Chocolate Crepe Dentelle

Sorry for pic quality. Shiny wrappers don't photograph well, though they look pretty IRL.

Gavottes Dark Chocolate Crepe Dentelles are a french chocolate-covered cookie that are made up of tiny crispy cookies and covered in chocolate. I received this item in my Love with Food box.

Review: Beanitos

Beanitos Restaurant Style White Bean with Sea Salt chips are a tasty alternative to corn and wheat tortilla chips. However, they do not have the same texture or taste as most tortilla chips. I received these chips as part of my February Love with Food box.

Sugarwish is an interesting new service--the idea is that you send a lucky recipient a box of candy, but they get to pick the contents from a variety of classic choices. You can see some of the choices here.

Review: Pipcorn White Truffle Mini Popcorn

I never understood the appeal of truffle oil. Some people, including my husband, will shy away in horror at the thought of mushroom oil. For me, I love the idea. It makes me feel fancy. But truthfully? It's just okay. It's not bad, it's just that I'm always more excited about the idea of truffles than the taste itself. It might be because the majority of my encounters with truffle oils were in the context of (probably) synthetically flavored oils because despite feeling fancy, I'm decidedly not.
