New restaurant alert! BurgerFi is a new fast-food burger restaurant in the Boston University area. It's a national chain that is part of the "better burger" movement. The concept seems to be centered around environmentally sustainable practices (recycling, low carbon footprint, etc) and the chain claims to make burgers that are made from high quality ingredients and that don't have iffy additives. Also of note--the chain sells beer and wines, which is rare for a fast-food restaurant.

Burgers "For Foodies" |
The burgers at BurgerFi aren't huge--but they're reasonably priced for the quality and size. We tried the BurgerFi cheeseburger and the VegeFi burger. The cheeseburger was decent, with a little too much sauce and a little too little meat. Otherwise, it was a solid offering. The veggie burger was pretty interesting--it's made from quinoa and was very crispy. I don't always like veggie burgers at burger places, but this one was flavorful and I would order it again. (My husband said it was "bleh", but he scoffs at the idea of food that doesn't contain meat, so I wouldn't trust his opinion on this one.)

Branding on Cheeseburger |
One thing that I appreciated is that you can order the burgers "Green Style", for no extra charge. I personally can't handle a lot of wheat at once and usually eat burgers naked, so it was nice to be able to eat a burger without having to use a fork and knife.

Green Style VegiFi Burger -- I know it just looks like lettuce, but I promise there are things inside. |
We also tried the fries with chili & cheese sauce (add ons), but they were pretty uninspired. It was surprising that something that's so obviously bad for you tasted so... healthy? The chili was bland and the fries were underseasoned and soggy.

Large order of fries: look so good, tastes so... meh |

Chocolate custard |
I was pretty excited that they serve chocolate custard here. It was surprisingly expensive (about ~$4 with tax for the smallest size), but like any custard, it was chewy, thick, and delicious.
Overall, I welcome this new chain restaurant to the Boston area! The burgers and custard make this place worth visiting at least once.
