Recently, my husband and I celebrated our second wedding anniversary, which we obviously used as an excuse to try some expensive food. My neighbor had recommended Uni Sashimi Bar, which is in the Eliot Hotel, as one of his favorites. We decided to try the Omakase menu (chef's choice).

Restaurant: Mei Mei Restaurant, Boston, MA

Mei Mei Restaurant opened in November, 2013. Originally a food truck, this Asian fusion restaurant is run by three siblings, Andy, Mei, and Irene. (Note: The food truck still exists and travels between neighborhoods on weekdays).

Restaurant: Mission Sushi & Wok, Boston, MA

Mission Sushi & Wok is a newer restaurant in Brigham Circle. It took the place of the Savant Project, which closed about a year ago.
