Restaurant: Sichuan Garden

Sichuan Garden in Brookline Village is delicious. It's been consistently one of my favorite restaurants for spicy food.

The ambiance is nice, and reminds me of the Chinese restaurants in the suburbs where I grew up. The waiters are friendly, but sometimes disappear for most of the meal (oops?). Often, the background music is a little bit strange--sometimes they play classical, sometimes traditional Chinese music, and sometimes Christmas carols in the Spring.

Every time we go here, we end up ordering a combination of the same three items: The Chongqing dry hot chicken, the Braised fish filets and napa cabbage with roasted chili, and Mapo tofu. If we have enough people, we sometimes will go for a veggie dish, like Chinese broccoli with garlic.
Dry Hot Chicken
On this particular visit, we went with the dry hot chicken and the fish entree. Both come steamy hot and oh-so-delightfully spicy. If you're not a fan of spicy food, beware!

Braised fish
Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant. It's super delicious!
